Since a few weeks I have that problem happening when surfing on internet. Every time I open a new page, avast Service (32 bit) starts using up to more than 50% of the CPU, making the computer run very slowly. The problem occurs with Chrome, Firefox and Edge. I'm using Avast Free for years, never had that issue before. Current version I have is ... "avast! Service (32 bit)" Process is using more then 50% of CPU Had a problem earlier with facebook not opening while avast secure DNS shield enabled. Did a re-install and it fixed it but now in another mess, that is: "avast! Service (32 bit)" AvastSvc.exe is using 50-60% of cpu. So, I rebooted in safe mode, uninstalled the avast using avast removal tool. Rebooted and installed it again. But issue still there. avast! Service 32 bit uses 33% CPU avast!
